Fotografar é, antes de tudo, estar presente. Interessa-me observar, acompanhar e guardar o que acontece entre as pessoas: os gestos, os silêncios e a proximidade. A fotografia é, assim, uma forma de testemunho: preservar não apenas como éramos, mas como estivemos juntos num determinado momento. Para isso, é importante respeitar a identidade de quem é fotografado e, a partir dela, encontrar também as poses que funcionam num ensaio. Deixo espaço para que a história aconteça.

Photography is, above all, about being present. I’m interested in observing, being alongside people, and preserving what happens between them: the gestures, the silences, and the closeness. Photography is, in this sense, a form of testimony: preserving not only who we were, but how we were together in a particular moment. For this, it is important to respect the identity of the person being photographed and, from there, find the poses that feel right within a session. I leave space for the story to unfold.
